LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Michael A. Mott passed away at the age of 77.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Mott and Edna Saisi (Chase).

After graduating from High School in Palo Alto, California, he was drafted into the Army, and he was stationed in Europe. Once he completed his military duties, he moved to Lake County.

He worked in the building trade and was well known for being a skilled contractor, having built many structures in the county.

Mike loved Lake County, especially the lake, where he spent many wonderful hours with family and friends water skiing and boating.

Mike was married to his wife, Christa, for 26 years, and they had many wonderful adventures together. They enjoyed traveling to Europe to visit relatives, camping with friends and family, gold panning and anything that involved being outdoors.

One of Mike’s greatest accomplishments was his children, Jim and Jamie, whom he dearly loved.

Mike is survived by his wife, Christa Mott; sister, Phyllis Passantino; son, Jim Mott (Annette); daughter, Jamie Frost (Jim); granddaughter, Jeralyn Frost; and stepsons, Michael Garrett, Shawn Garrett and their families.

Mike was a kind loving man with a great sense of humor, and adventurous spirit. He lived life to the fullest, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

The family will announce the location and date for a celebration of life in Mike’s honor.
