Gordon Herrick Wilcox was born May 16, 1931, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Clarence Hildreth and Lina Albertina Knapp Wilcox.

He died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 90.

After high school, Gordon attended Western Baptist Bible College in El Cerrito, California.

He was married July 30, 1960, in Upper Lake, California, to the love of his life, Phyllis Hill.

He worked to develop and maintain Meteor Ranch Bible Conference as well as a cattle ranch where he served humbly and tirelessly year after year. His generosity touched the lives of many.

He was fueled by his love for God, his family and endless cups of black coffee from sunup to sun down.

His faith in God gave him confidence that he will spend eternity in Heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: his wife of over 61 years, Phyllis, of Owasso, Oklahoma; children, Tim Wilcox and wife Carmen, of Catalina, Arizona, Corinne Wilcox, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Phil Wilcox and wife Jenny, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Becky Little, of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, Britnie Wilcox, of Mesa, Arizona, Adam Wilcox and wife Codi, of San Pedro, California, Morgan Little, of Newberg, Oregon, Lindsay Little, of Newport Beach, California, Jared Wilcox, Caleb Wilcox, Grace Wilcox, and Lily Wilcox, all of Owasso, Oklahoma; great-grand-children, Abagail Hulsey, Quinn Wilcox, and Max Wilcox; sister, Alice Jackson and husband Ed, of Cherry Valley, California; brothers, Conrad Wilcox of Lafayette, Indiana, and David Wilcox and wife Barbara, of Lakeport, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Don Wilcox.

Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 1, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma and a graveside service was held that same afternoon at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in rural Owasso with Pastor Mike Gleason officiating.
