Dorothy was born to Bill and Elizabeth Henderson on Aug. 11. 1930.

She lived in the Hayward, California, area for 50 years. She became a senior caregiver for many years. Her clients adored her because of her kindness.

In 1988 she moved to Lake County, California, where she continued to be a caregiver for seniors, She gave of herself with all she had to our senior community.

My mother never met a stranger she would strike up a conversation with everybody.

She loved playing bingo and walking her dogs. She was an animal lover and would rescue many animals she came in contact with in her travels.

In 2014 she moved to Virginia to be cared for by her daughter Brenda Jordan and on March 24, 2021, she got her ANGEL wings.

She is survived by her four children, Donna Cummins, Brenda Jordan, John Tapia and Billy Hulse. She has 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She will be forever in our hearts.

Donations can be made to our local animal shelter.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
