KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Josephine Arinda Evans Whaley entered this world Jan. 11, 1926, in Benham, TX. The Lord and his angels called upon her Oct. 27, 2013, in Kelseyville.

She has been known for many professional talents. She hosted the bingo bus tours for Table Mountain Casino, and was a consultant of Park Lane and Princess House.

Josephine even received an editorial as saleswoman of the year, making the cover of Ava Care Magazine. She even won a “Showcase Show Down” on the Price is Right. She also was a true bingo enthusiast.

Grandma Jo was a dedicated mother, hard worker and compassionate Christian woman who made Lake County home for the last 40 years.

She was the kind of woman who could lift the spirit of anyone – she was warm-hearted, kind, generous, joyous and loving. A gambler at heart, Grandma Jo will be greatly missed, but will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by four sons, Jim, Wayne, Mike and Ernie Whaley; grandchildren, Tristin Fowler, Kenny, Shelly, Janessa, Jason, Candy, Nathan and Misty Whaley; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Albert Whaley; her children, Rosie, Shirley and Andy Whaley, and Jenny Hammil; daughter-in-law, Carlene Whaley; and grandsons, John and Steven Hamilton.

Graveside services will be at Kelseyville Cemetery, 3375 Bell Hill Road, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.
