Kimberly Susan Medina Olsen, 53, of Kelseyville, passed away after a valiant battle on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Jan. 1, 1959, in Lakeport, Calif., the first baby of the New Year, and daughter of John “Laddie” and Susan Medina.

Kim attended Lakeport schools and graduated from Clear Lake High School with the class of 1977.

Kim met Marr at a little league dance on April 12, 1975 and they were married five years later to the day on April 12, 1980, in Lakeport.

The newlyweds moved to Kelseyville, in the home they built, and lived there until 1984 when they moved to Petaluma, Calif. They started their family in 1987 with Gunner, Tanner in 1989 and Skyler completed their family in 1992.

Over the years Kim was employed at Kelseyville Pharmacy, Country Air Properties, Lake County Welfare Department, Prudential Realty and retired from the state of California.

Kim went back to school while working and raising her family and earned her bachelor’s degree before graduating with her master’s degree in psychology at the University of San Francisco. The family moved back to Kelseyville in 2004 where Kim loved their tranquil ranch on Kelsey Creek Drive.

Kim’s battle with pancreatic cancer was long and hard-fought and even though we will miss her, she will never be forgotten. The memories shared and lives touched by her undeniable grace, beauty and strength will ensure that her spirit lives on in all of us for eternity.
