Bethany Angel Vogel

Bethany Angel Vogel, 33, born Oct. 27, 1978, in Klamath Falls, Ore., went to be with the Lord May 4, 2012, in Cobb Mountain, Calif.

Bethany's passion was working with special needs children and she was enrolled at Yuba City College, Clearlake Campus in Clearlake, Calif., where there is a scholarship fund set up in her memory for Early Childhood Education.

Bethany is survived by the lights of her life, her nephews and nieces, Teagen Oliver, Joscelyn and Jonathon Koffler, Sara Rowe, and Carson and Sterling Deshong.

She also is survived by her mother, Marcie Colas; father, Derek Vogel (Kami Huston); brother, David (Anna) and sister, Kristine (Charles) Koffler; grandmother, Dorol Forney; grandfather, Leon (Edith) Colas; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as special friends, Sabrina, Emelie and her daughter, Elizabeth.

Bethany was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert Vogel and Gwen Vogel (Craig) Smith.

Memorial services for Bethany will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Hidden Valley Community Church, 18160 Spruce Road Ext., Hidden Valley Lake, CA.

The family prefers donations in memory of Bethany to the Bethany Vogel Early Childhood Education Scholarship Fund, payable to Yuba College, Memo Bethany ECE, 15880 Dam Rd., Clearlake, CA 95422 or Lake Family Resource Freedom House, 5350 Main St., Kelseyville, CA 95451.
