Anti-spanking campaign hurts kids

Darwinist liberals are up to no good, again. Now, they want to ban spanking in the home. This is no joke. Sally Lieber (Democrat assemblywoman from Mountain View) says California families don’t know how to raise kids. She’ll show them. Her new law (introduced in the State Assembly) will outlaw, “spanking, hitting, and slapping a child under 4 years old.” Parents will go to jail if they don‘t obey. Spanking causes pain, she says, “it victimizes children and breeds violence in society.” She sounds sooooo righteous. Who’d want to hurt a 3-year-old?

Sally appears to be an angel of light but Bible readers know her campaign against spanking is diabolical. She’s like mother Eve who listened to a serpent and paid with her life. Secular Sally says don’t spank. Biblical wisdom says spank (Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him). No doubt, secular Sally scorns biblical writers. They’re mean and cruel, she’d say. Sally is mean and cruel. Children will pay a terrible price if she gets her way. Unfortunately, Sally is popular.

Where does Assemblywoman Sally get her crazy idea? No one knows for sure but the San Jose The Mercury News (Jan. 18, 2007) says she got it from her veterinarian. That’s right. She has a cat named Snoop and her vet said never hit the cat. “And if you never hit a cat,” Sally reasons, “you should never hit a kid.”

The Bible is honorable and Sally is harebrained foolish. The lack of discipline victimizes children and breeds violence in society; not spanking. Family and school chastisement train children up in the way they should go. Like Eve, Sally Lieber, the Democrat assemblywoman from Mountain View, is following the malevolent forces of darkness.
