Howland: Harry offers ideas, experience and energy

I have been online looking at some videos of various candidates.

I came upon an interview with Don Anderson in 2014. He was asked who he would be supporting for sheriff in the upcoming election. Mr. Anderson began describing one of the candidates – “unfortunately, he’s my age and he’s spent a lot of time in law enforcement … I’m not saying it’s a bad thing … I think the sheriff’s office needs a lot of young ideas, a lot of energy and it’s going to need somebody who wants to be there for a long time.”

Well, it seems that Mr. Anderson was correct back then. Sheriff Brian Martin brought all those attributes and more to his position as Lake County sheriff and is now one of the most admired elected officials in the county.

Don’t you think this is good advice for the Nov. 6 Lake County Superior Court judge race?

Shanda Harry is the candidate who brings a lot of young ideas, has the experience and brings a lot of energy to the position. And she's someone who wants to be there for a long time!

Please join me in voting for Shanda Harry for Superior Court judge.
