MIDDLETOWN – The Middletown Luncheon Club’s May program is speaker Karen Turcotte and the Coyote Film Festival on Wednesday, May 20, at noon at the Social Hall of the United Methodist Church on Armstrong Street in Middletown.

A fun selection of short film and animation will be presented to highlight the independent nature of film that Coyote screens each year.

A buffet lunch is available for $5 at the door. Reservations are not required.

The Coyote Film Festival screens one Saturday a month at the Calpine Geothermal Visitors Center in Middletown from March through November. The next screening is on Saturday, May 16, with a 1:30 p.m. matinée and a 7:30 p.m. showing that will be all about pets.

Coyote Film Festival is Lake County’s own independent film festival and is the fundraising arm of EcoArts of Lake County, a South County arts nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing visual art opportunities to residents and visitors of Lake County.
