UPPER LAKE – The Lake County Historical Society will enjoy their April 26 general membership meeting at the Tallman Hotel, 9550 Main St., in Upper Lake.

Starting at 2 p.m. they will meet in the conference room located to the right of the Tallman Hotel to relax and enjoy listening to the speakers.

Bernie and Lynne Butcher, owners of the Tallman Hotel and Blue Wing Saloon, will share the “History and Restoration of the Tallman Hotel and the Blue Wing Saloon,” which will be followed by a tour of the hotel and the old livery stable next to the Blue Wing.

Sheldon Steinberg restored the old livery stable and has his antique plumbing fixture business there and, with luck, the group will have him as a speaker, too.

The Blue Wing Saloon will have a Sunday Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. which will cost those who eat an average price about $10.

Come early, have brunch and walk next door to the conference room where the meeting will be.

RSVPs are required to make sure there is enough seating for the meeting; please call Randy Ridge at 279-4062.
