Heroes of Health and Safety Fair takes place Oct. 16

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — The annual Heroes of Health and Safety Fair is returning once again to educate and offer free health services to community members.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 401 Martin St., Lakeport.

There will be interactive demonstrations for the entire family, including the “jaws of life,” medical helicopters and rescue vehicles, compression only CPR, boating safety, car seat safety inspections and Narcan training.

The fair also will feature many free services, including COVID-19 vaccines, the flu shot, health screenings, A1C blood glucose testing and dental screenings.

There also will be free giveaways, including a bicycle raffle, go bags for children, bike helmets and EZ child fingerprinting.

The event will adhere to all county COVID-19 regulations. Masks are required.
