Caltrans plans major roadwork through April 15

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌20

– Bridge work from Clover Creek to Upper Lake Lucerne Road will begin on Tuesday, April 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌29

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Hill Avenue to Wardlaw Street beginning Monday, April 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Core drilling from Doten Road to Eagle’s Nest Court will begin on Monday, April 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight weekdays from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Argonaut Road to Route 175 will begin on Tuesday, April 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight on Tuesday, April 13, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Striping from Forestry Road to High Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect Friday, April 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Stewart Street on Wednesday, April 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Del Mar Trailer Park to Old Coast Highway on Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Glennen Drive to Collins Viaduct Bridge 10-124 on Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping from Mill Street to Forestry Fire Station in Point Arena will continue Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Sign work and electrical work from Broaddus Creek 10 107 to Willits Cemetery Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping from Blosser Road to Broaddus Creek Bridge will continue Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Pavement repair from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Ryan Creek Road to Entrance to Witra’s Hidden will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at the entrance to Witra’s Hidden on Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Road 310B to Shimmins-Long Valley Creek 10 99 will continue Friday, April 9. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

– Emergency work from Ten Mile Creek to Laytonville will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from County Road 322 Branscomb Road to Bell Springs & Road 324 will continue Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Rattlesnake Summit to Bell Springs & Road 324 will begin on Monday, April 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Red Mountain Creek on Wednesday, April 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Striping from Road 150 to Lambert Lane will continue Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 253

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from near Anderson Creek Bridge to just west of West Singley Cattlepass on Thursday, April 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 271

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Squaw Creek on Tuesday, April 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
