Caltrans plans major roadwork through April 8

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌29

– Core drilling at Private Drive will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight weekday from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Route 281 North Soda Bay Road on Tuesday, April 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Private Road on Friday, April 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Casa Dicaccia Road to Sunrise Vista Resort on Thursday, April 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping from Forestry Road to High Road will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Kelsey Creek beginning Wednesday, April 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Bottle Rock Road to High Road on Wednesday, April 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Glennen Drive to Collins Viaduct Bridge 10-124 on Friday, April 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Haven Neck Drive to Signal Port Creek Road on Thursday, April 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping from Mill Street to Forestry Fire Station in Point Arena will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Sign work from Broaddus Creek 10 107 to Willits Cemetery Road will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from Broaddus Railroad Crossing to Broaddus Creek Bridge will begin on Friday, April 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping from Blosser Road to Broaddus Creek Bridge will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Pavement repair from Comminsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will begin on Monday, April 5. Lane closures will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Ryan Creek Road to Entrance to Witra’s Hidden will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Road 310B to Shimmins-Long Valley Creek 10 99 will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

– Emergency work from Ten Mile Creek to Laytonville will continue Friday, April 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Ten Mile Creek to Harmon Drive will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from County Road 322 Branscomb Road to Bell Springs & Road 324 will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from the CA Division of Forestry to Bell Springs & Road 324 will continue Friday, April 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

Highway 128

– Striping from Road 150 to Lambert Lane will begin on Monday, April 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 253

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Route 253 to Route 101 on Tuesday, April 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Robinson Creek Bridge to Stipp Lane on Friday, April 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
