Caltrans plans major roadwork through April 1

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌20

– Tree work north of Saratoga Spring Road to 0.53 miles south of Private Drive will continue Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Van Sleep Road on Saturday, March 27. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Glenhaven Drive beginning Tuesday, March 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays.

Highway‌ ‌29

– Highway construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Highland Springs Road on Tuesday, March 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Sunrise Vista Resort on Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Socrates Mine Road on Thursday, April 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Sunset Drive to Fish Rock Road on Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Utility work from Lake Street to Mill Street in Point Arena will occur on Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Van Damme Beach State to Gordon Lane on Monday, March 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin on Monday, March 29. Lane closures will be in effect daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive will begin on Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Ryan Creek Road to Entrance to Witra’s Hidden will begin on Monday, March 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Road 310B to Shimmins-Long Valley Creek 10 99 will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

– Emergency work from Long Valley Creek 10 98 to north of Laytonville will continue Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Long Valley Creek 10 98 to Road 307 will occur on Saturday, March 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Ten Mile Creek to Laytonville will begin on Monday, March 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Emergency work from the CA Division of Forestry to Bell Springs & Road 324 will begin on Monday, March 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through fall 2021.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work in Piercy on Saturday, March 27. A traffic break will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Horse Mountain Road on Monday, March 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 271

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work 1 mile north of Route 101 on Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Old Route 101 to Route 271 for Saturday, March 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
