Caltrans plans major roadwork through Feb. 4

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌20

– Tree work from north of Saratoga Spring Road to S. Private Road will begin Monday, Feb. 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail repair from Clover Creek to Upper Lake Lucerne Road will begin Tuesday, Feb. 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Benton Avenue to Hudson Avenue beginning Wednesday, Feb. 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail repair west of Walker Ridge Road on Friday, Jan. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 29

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Shady Grove Road to Western Mine Road on Friday, Jan. 29. Full lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on Seigler Canyon Road on Friday, Jan. 29. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Route 281 and North Soda Bay Road will continue. One-way traffic will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Argonaut Road to Route 175 will begin Monday, Feb. 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Guardrail repair near South Hill Road Overcrossing on Friday, Jan. 29. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Socrates Mine Road on Friday, Jan. 29. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Shoulder work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will occur on Friday, Jan. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Mill Creek Drive to Private Road on Thursday, Feb. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency tree work from the entrance to Georgia Pacific to Witra’s Hidden entrance will continue. Full lane closures will be in effect. Motorists can anticipate minimal delays.

– Full lane closure due to snow from Road 307 to Cummings Road Undercrossing will continue.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.
