Caltrans plans major roadwork through Jan. 28

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌29 ‌

– Guardrail repair at Saint Helena Creek Bridge on Friday, Jan. 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Guardrail repair at Lupiyoma Creek Bridge on Monday, January 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Route 281 and North Soda Bay Road will continue. One-way traffic will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Route 175 southeast beginning Wednesday, Jan. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail repair near South Hill Road on Thursday & Friday, January 28 & 29. Lane controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Guardrail repair at the Lucerne Undercrossing on Tuesday, Jan. 26, and Wednesday, Jan. 27. Lane controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Casa Dicaccia Road on Tuesday, Jan. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Santa Barbara Road to Stewart Street on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Lane controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Accident investigation in Albion beginning Wednesday, Jan. 20, will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists can expect minimal delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work at De Haven Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work on Ridgewood Grade at Uva Drive will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.

Highway 162

– Bridge work at Bloody Run Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
