Caltrans plans major roadwork through Dec. 10

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 29

– Sign work from Saint Helena Creek Bridge to Hofacker Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road South to Hofacker Lane will begin Monday, Dec. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Sign work from Matthews Road to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from Matthews Road to Santa Barbara Road will begin Monday, Dec. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 281

– Sign work from Tenino Way to Point Lakeview Road will begin Thursday, December 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Striping operation from Old State Highway to Mill Street, Point Arena will begin Friday. Dec. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from Collins Viaduct Bridge to Lake Street, Point Arena will begin Thursday, Dec. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Road 8068 to Haven Neck Drive beginning Wednesday, Dec. 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Shoulder work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Drive on Friday, Dec. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Soldier Point Viaduct will begin Monday, Dec. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Fort Bragg/ Route 20 to Willits Road on Tuesday, Dec. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction two miles east of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Holly Street to Baechtel Road on Friday, Dec. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Core drilling from Geysers Road to Comminsky Station Viaduct will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Emergency road repairs due to wildfire from Ryan Creek Road to the entrance to Witra’s Hidden will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work beginning on the Right Passing Lane 1.6 miles south of Rattlesnake Summit will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Highway construction at Dora Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Dec. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.

Highway 162

– Bridge work at Bloody Run Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Dec. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Wooldridge Ranch Road to Buckman Drive beginning Monday, Dec. 7. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
