Peaceful rallies planned in Clearlake Nov. 2 and 3

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Peaceful rallies to demonstrate in the name of democracy that all votes in the Nov. 3 election be counted and that all officials dutifully abide by the results and commit to peaceful transitions of office will take place in Clearlake on Monday, Nov 2, and Tuesday. Nov. 3.

The rallies on both days will take place from noon to 2 p.m.

Meet near the stage at Austin Park. After a song, they will then walk peacefully and nonviolently on the sidewalk to Redbud Park where they will conclude with a song and possibly a dance.

Participants are encouraged to make signs and bring friends, families, co-workers, activist groups, faith communities, nonprofits, affinity groups, etc.

All participants are expected to act lawfully at all times, respect each other and to seek to deescalate any potential confrontations. They also are asked to wear masks and observe social distancing.
