Friends of the Lake County Library host open house, book faire Oct. 8

LAKEPORT – Friends of Lake County Library will hold its annual Book Faire and Open House Thursday, Oct. 8.


The event will take place at the Lakeport Library, 1425 N. High St., from from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.


There will be book bags for $15 that buyers can stuff as many books as they will hold and a silent auction.

 

Kit DeCanti, local author of “Secret on Cobb Mountain,” will read from her mystery novel at 6 p.m.

 

Members of the Lake Fiddlers will bring the evening to a lively close. Refreshments will be provided.


Friends is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that supports the libraries of Lake County. Volunteers are dedicated to expanding what the library system offers to children and adults.


Your support by purchasing books, magazines and periodicals will help the group continue its mission of supporting the freedom to read and the enjoyment of learning.


Friends can use other friends, so join Friends of Lake County Library. Membership categories: Student/senior $15, adult/family $25, donor $50, and other.
