LAKEPORT – The Web-based photo contest for photos taken during the 2009 Lake County Fair is nearing its final deadline, with more than 50 photos entered so far.
 
Photos taken at the 2009 Lake County Fair are eligible for the contest. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize, and a 2010 Lake County Fair prize package including two admission tickets and two unlimited ride wristbands.

Photos entered in the contest must be entered via the Internet.

Anyone interested in entering the contest should upload their fair photos to an unrestricted photo sharing Web site like Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, Smugmug or Webshots. Then, email the URL of the photo you want to enter to the Lake County Fair at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

There is no limit on the number of photos you may enter, but the URL of each photo must be emailed to Lake County Fair in its own unique email.

The photographer must be the person entering the photo in the contest. Photos must be from the 2009 Lake County Fair. Photos containing content which is inappropriate for family viewing will be disqualified.

Provide the photographer's first and last name, mailing address, phone number, and email address along with the URL of the photo.

Photos entered in the contest may be downloaded by the Lake County Fair and used on the fair's Web site or in promotional materials, therefore each photo must be available on the web for unrestricted use.

Emails entering photos in the contest must be received by noon on Friday, Sept. 25.

Photos will be judged and the winner announced by Wednesday, Sept. 30.
