MIDDLETOWN – Langtry Estate & Vineyards has hired Stephen J. Duffy as the new northeast regional sales manager.

Based in New Jersey, Duffy will be responsible for the promotion, management and distributor relations for Langtry in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.

Duffy has worked for several upscale wine and spirits brands during the past fifteen years.

“Stephen has many varied and dynamic skills as well as a background in fashionable luxury brands, which will help to bring Guenoc wines to cosmopolitan consumers,” said Craig Moore, Langtry sales manager. “His experience in the wine industry will bring a confident and competitive edge to this position.”

Just prior to joining the Langtry team, Duffy was the New York and New Jersey market manager for Spirits Marque One, where he worked with high-end, deluxe brands including Svedka Vodka. There, he helped to promote the brand by working with the hottest bars and clubs in town.

Before that, he worked with a variety of other luxury wines and spirits companies including Canadian Ice wines for Vincor USA. He also worked on other small yield wine brands from California, Washington, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia during his time at Vincor.

In addition, Duffy has managed and helped to popularize such varied top-tier brands as Herradura Tequila, Rain Vodka, Glenfiddich, Reserva del Dueno Tequila, Frangelico, Licor 43, Bols Cordials and Maschio Wines.

He began his career in the wine industry as a sales representative for Gallo wines. Duffy has also completed Harriet Lembeck's Wine & Spirits Program.

Langtry Estate & Vineyards has extensive vineyard holdings in Lake County and is the oldest and largest winegrower in the region. The picturesque estate consists of 21,000 acres and straddles Lake and Napa counties. Vineyards are limited to 400 prime acres in both Lake and Napa counties. Guenoc wines are distributed nationally.
