LOWER LAKE, Calif. – Six Sigma Winery was excited to learn that their 2009 Pinot Noir and their 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon won “Best of Class” at the 2011 People’s Choice Awards held on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Kaj Ahlmann, the owner of Six Sigma Winery with his wife Else, were thrilled when they received the news.

“This is truly great news,” Kaj Ahlmann said. “Last year our 2006 Tempranillo received Best Red Wine in Lake County at the People’s Choice Awards and this year our 2009 Pinot and our 2006 Cab win Best of Class. Else and I are very proud of the entire Six Sigma Team that works so hard together to produce outstanding wines.”

To qualify for the People’s Choice Awards the wine must be made from at least 75 percent Lake County grapes.

That was easy for Six Sigma Winery, because all of their wines are estate grown on the beautiful 4,300-acre Six Sigma Ranch located between Lower Lake and Hidden Valley Lake on Spruce Grove Road.

The winery is open every day from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for complimentary tastings and tours.

Kaj and Else Ahlmann invite everyone out to Six Sigma Ranch at 13372 Spruce Grove Road for complimentary tasting of all of the current releases.
