Neighborhood Watch group meets


LUCERNE – A group of concerned Lucerne citizens plans to meet Wednesday to discuss reforming the town's Neighborhood Watch and Community Patrol.


The group will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Kapitan's on Highway 20 in Lucerne to go over paperwork and discuss board membership. Donna Christopher, who is helping with the effort, said a meeting will take place later in the month at the senior center to elect a new board.

County libraries reopen Jan. 3


LAKE COUNTY - All branches of the Lake County Library system will be closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 2, to observe New Year’s Day.


Normal hours at all branches will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
