LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Skies cleared on Thursday, and a sun-filled weekend is on tap with warm daytime temperatures expected to last throughout the weekend in to early next week.
Forecasters are watching a new system dropping out of the Gulf of Alaska which may dampen spirits on Halloween, but for now, the prediction is for occasional showers to begin on Tuesday evening into Wednesday.
Local weather stations reported over an inch of rain fell across the county this week, bringing much-needed moisture to the area, although a burn ban for Lake County remains in effect.
Friday’s daytime temperatures are forecast to be in the mid 70s throughout the county, with warmer daytime highs on Saturday and Sunday, when temperatures should reach back up into the upper 70s and low 80s, with mostly sunny skies.
Overnight lows are predicted to stay in the upper 40s with no indications of frost throughout the weekend and early next week.
Temperatures will cool off as the week begins on Monday as a new weather system approaches, bringing chances of rain on Tuesday, with increases throughout the evening into Wednesday.
