LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – David Michael Wright died peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 69. Mike was the son of Bernie and Virginia Wright. He was born and raised in Lakeport and graduated from Clear Lake High School, class of 1966.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict and was honorably discharged in 1974.

Mike returned to Lakeport to raise his family and open his business, Lake County Dental Studio. He also supported his community by serving as a fire commissioner for the Lakeport Fire Department.

Mike had a life well lived. He was a man of strong character. He showed kindness and respect to everyone and he deeply loved his family and friends. Mike was loved by everyone who knew him.

Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen Wright; daughter, Stacey (Kevin) Wright-Coffey; son, Mark (Joanna) Wright; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Brendan and Jenna.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside memorial service at Hartley Cemetery on July 22 at 11 a.m. Services will be officiated by Jim Goetz.
