Caltrans plans major roadwork through Aug. 27

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Upper Lake Lucerne Road on Thursday, Aug. 27. Lane controls will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Diane Court to Cora Drive on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Lane controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 53

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Seigler Creek/Route 53 on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Kinney Road on Tuesday, Aug. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Manchester to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Pudding Creek Road to State Route 271 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Vista Point Road to Road 430 on Thursday, Aug. 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Route 1 to Sears Lane/Gorstrom Road on Monday, Aug. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadway excavation near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Paving work from Holly Street to Monica Lane will continue. Lane controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 101

– Paving work from Geysers Road to East Side Road will continue. Lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Guardrail work from East Side Road to Hopland Overhead Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving work from Russian River Road to La Franchi Road will begin Monday, August 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Miscellaneous roadwork from Hopland Overhead Bridge to Geysers Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at McNab Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Robinson Creek Bridge and Northbound on-ramp to 101 will continue. Northbound lane controls and full closure of northbound on-ramp to Route 101 will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays and use alternate routes.

– Bridge work at Masonite Road Overcrossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Bridge work at Flynn Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Indian Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Maple Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Beebe Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 175

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at the Hopland Railroad Crossing Russian River on Tuesday, Aug. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
