Caltrans plans major roadwork through Aug. 20

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Butler Street on Tuesday, Aug. 18, and Wednesday, Aug. 19. Westbound lane controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Clearlake Oaks Maintenance will conduct fire maintenance at Sulphur Bank Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Medina & Sons have been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for cleanup and repairs at New Long Valley Road on Friday, Aug. 14. Westbound lane controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Paving from Curley Lane to Scott Place, Point Arena will begin Tuesday, Aug. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Manchester to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Mowing from Irish Beach Drive to Comptche Ukiah Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Navarro Ridge Road to Brewery Gulch Vista will begin Monday, Aug. 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Brewery Gulch Vista Point to Boice Lane will begin Sunday, Aug. 16. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Manzanita to Pudding Creek Beach Access will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Pudding Creek Road to State Route 271 will begin Monday, Aug. 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Guardrail work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will begin Monday, Aug. 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Airport Road to Road 8136 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C1TA

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadway excavation near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work at Harmon Lane beginning Monday, Aug. 17. Full street closure will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should take alternate routes.

– Paving work from Holly Street to Monica Lane will begin Monday, Aug. 17. Lane controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge inspection from Russian River Overhead Crossing to Cold Creek Bridge #2 will occur on Wednesday, Aug. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Paving, concrete pour operation, striping, and roadwork from Geysers Road to Hopland Overhead Bridge will continue. Lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Guardrail work from East Side Road to Hopland Overhead bridge will begin Thursday, Aug. 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at McNab Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Robinson Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound lane controls and full closure of northbound on-ramp to Route 101 will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays and use alternate routes.

– Bridge work at Masonite Road Overcrossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Spyrock Road to Bell Springs and Road 324 on Wednesday, Aug. 19. One-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Striping operation near Route 1 intersection will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Flynn Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Indian Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Maple Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Beebe Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Guardrail work at Slide Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
