Caltrans plans major roadwork through Aug. 6

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Mowing will occur from Old State Highway to Moat Creek beginning Friday, July 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Private Road, Point Arena to North Limits Elk will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from North Limits Elk to Brewery Gulch Vista Point will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Mowing will occur from Comptche Ukiah Road to Jack Peters Creek on Friday, July 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Manzanita to Pudding Creek Road will begin Monday, Aug. 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Grinding, paving and guardrail roadwork from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadway excavation near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Guardrail repair on the North Capella Overcrossing 10-206 will occur on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Westbound lane closures with one-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate a five-minute delay.

Highway 101

– Paving and striping work from the Hopland Overhead Bridge to Commisky Station Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Tree work will occur on the northbound off-ramp at Highway 101 and Gobbi Street Overcrossing Bridge on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Full closure of the off-ramp will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should find alternative routes.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Paving from Route 162 east to Long Valley Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, July 31. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Striping operation near Route 1 intersection will begin Monday, Aug. 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Philo Greenwood Road on Tuesday, Aug. 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Shoulder work from Motorcycle Park Entrance to the Lake County Line will occur on Thursday, Aug. 6. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Guardrail work will occur at Slide Creek beginning Friday, July 31. Westbound lane closure will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
