Caltrans plans major roadwork through July 23

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Grinding operation from Private Road to Route 53 South will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue through Friday, July 17. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will begin night work Friday, July 17. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Utility work from Route 175 southeast to Bottle Rock Road will occur on Monday, July 20 and Tuesday, July 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Private Road on Thursday, July 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Striping operation from Mill Street, Point Arena to North Limits Elk will begin Monday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Alder Creek will begin Monday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Crispin Road to Alder Creek on Friday, July 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Gordon Lane to Road 500B on Friday, July 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement marker replacement from Simpson Lane to Pudding Creek will begin Monday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving roadwork from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadway excavation near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Culvert drainage inspection from Redwood Valley Undercrossing to East Fork Russian River will begin Tuesday, July 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Pavement work from the Hopland Overhead Bridge to Geysers Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Norcal Recycled has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for incident cleanup and repairs at the East Hill Undercrossing to Haehl Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work from Route 162 East to Long Valley Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Tree work from Gschwend Road to Clark Road will begin Tuesday, July 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for truck wreck clean-up at Socrates Mine Road will begin Monday, July 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
