Caltrans plans major roadwork through July 16

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will begin Friday, July 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will begin night work Sunday, July 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Grinding operation from Private Road to Route 53 South will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near Konocti Forestry Camp for Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near the Alder Creek Bridge through Friday, July 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction at Simpson Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Elm Street to Airport Road on Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving roadwork from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadway excavation near Road 200A will begin Friday, July 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Pavement work from the Russian River Bridge to the Hopland Overhead Bridge will continue through Saturday, July 11. Northbound lane closures will be in effect 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Pavement work from the Hopland Overhead Bridge to Geysers Road will begin Monday, July 13. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Norcal Recycled has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for incident cleanup and repairs at the East Hill Undercrossing to Haehl Creek Bridge will continue through Friday, July 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work from Route 162 East to Long Valley Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility north from Robinson Creek on Friday, July 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work and new pole replacement west of Big Oaks Drive to Yorkville West City Limits beginning Monday, July 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Pavement marker replacement from east of Buckman Drive to the Lake County line will begin Monday, July 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
