KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Put your denim and diamonds back in the closet until next year. The annual Rotary Club of Kelseyville Sunrise fundraiser gala has been canceled for 2020.

“Our club is sad to cancel this fun event,” outgoing Club President Rob Ishihara said. “It is a wonderful evening and our main source of funds for our activities in the community each year.”

The group offered a huge thank you to the 2019 sponsors including presenting sponsor Lake County Tribal Health, Diamond sponsor Calpine Corp. and Denim sponsors Adventist Health Clearlake, Bella Vista Farming Co, LLC, Boatique Winery, California Exterminators, Lake County Waste Solutions, Lakeview Health Center, Saw Shop Gallery Bistro, UCC Rentals, Shields Construction, Sutter Lakeside Hospital and The Travel Centers.

They offered a special note of thanks to Bella Vista Farming, California Exterminators and Sutter Lakeside Hospital for their continuing support in 2020.

The club has already started planning Denim & Diamonds 2021. Mark your calendars for June 26, 2021, for an evening of food, wine, auctions and fun at Boatique Winery.

The Rotary Club of Kelseyville has a dedicated group of members who are invested in their communities and giving back through service.

Education is a centerpiece of club activities. Each year, the club awards scholarships to Kelseyville graduates to help them realize their career plans. It partners with Kelseyville Middle School and Kelseyville High School to recognize deserving students of the month and distribute dictionaries to the third graders to help them understand the magic of words.

In 2019, the club launched a project to prevent hunger by distributing food boxes to needy families during the holiday vacation. The club also helped to revitalize the Kelseyville Senior Center and supported the annual Health and Safety Fair with a helmet giveaway.
