LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Camp Konocti is an in-depth first aid and CPR emergency preparedness camp for youth eighth to 12th grades experiencing homelessness or foster youth that will take place this July in Lake County.

Organizers anticipate having 50 youth and 20 adults participate in the four-day overnight camp which will offer EMS, CPR and first aid training.

“We believe that emergency and health training should be easy to access and straightforward in its presentation. The goal of training should be learning, understanding and applying knowledge to each individual’s life in order to improve it and make it safer,” organizers said in the camp announcement.

While the camp is oriented for CPR and first aid training, it’s also meant to be fun.

Additional activities will include hiking, outdoor adventure, creative expression, swimming and water recreation.

Camp Konocti is currently enrolling youth for camp.
