Caltrans plans major roadwork through July 2

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Bachelor Valley on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Highway construction from Shaul Street to High Valley road will continue through Friday, June 26. Westbound lane controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Striping operation from Private Road to Route 53 South will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Konocti Forestry Camp on Tuesday, June 30, and Wednesday, July 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway Construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Guardrail work east of Mathews Road on Friday, June 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from North Route 29 to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Socrates Mine Road on Friday, June 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Brush Creek to Alder Creek beginning Monday, June 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Kinney Road to Alder Creek through Friday, June 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving roadwork from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Tree work near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Pavement repair from Geysers Road to Hopland Overhead Bridge will begin Monday, June 29. Northbound and southbound lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Rosetti Creek to First Street on Friday, June 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Norcal Recycled has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for incident cleanup and repairs at the Haehl Creek Bridges and East Hill Undercrossing beginning Friday, June 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from north of the entrance to Witra’s Hidden to South of Ten Mile Creek will continue. Northbound and southbound lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
