Caltrans plans major roadwork through April 2

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Core Drilling from one-half mile west of Blue Lake Motel to east of Mid Lake Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Tree work from Route 53 South to the Colusa County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Guardrail work near the Colusa County Line will begin on Monday, March 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Tree work from the Napa County Line to Central Park Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Tree work from Route 281 North Soda Bay Road to Route 175 Southeast will occur on Sunday, March 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Private Road to Tule Lake Road beginning on Monday, March 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Tree work from Salmina Drive to Summit Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Slide removal from Comminsky Station to East Side Road will begin on Monday, March 30. Lane controls will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Mowing will occur from Russian River to Nelson Road beginning Monday, March 30. Moving traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 271

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Grizzly Creek Culvert to Big Dam-Marion Drive for Monday, March 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
