COBB, Calif. – The Cobb Area Council and the South Lake Fire Safe Council have launched the “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” program in an effort to reduce fire fuels and create defensible space throughout the community.
Do you need help with clearing brush and weeds, or can you help with that kind of work?

It can be difficult to help keep properties clear of forest debris, limbs and grasses that can quickly become fuel for fires in Lake County’s hot summers. Thus, the idea was born to have community members work together to address the problem.

Cleanup dates are scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 5, and Saturday, Sept. 9.

If you need help or would like to volunteer your time with weedeaters, mowers and loppers, call 707-335-4084.
