LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Seats on the boards of directors for more than a dozen local fire, water and community districts will be on the ballot this fall.
The Lake County Registrar of Voters Office reported that a general district election is scheduled to be held on Nov. 7 to fill the offices of director seats for the districts listed below, which become vacant on the first Friday in December or until a successor is elected and qualifies for office.
The filing period ends on Friday, Aug. 11, at 5 p.m.
The terms for each are four years unless otherwise indicated.
Elections will take place for the following.
Fire districts
– Kelseyville Fire Protection District: Three vacancies.
– Lake County Fire Protection District: Four vacancies.
– South Lake County Fire Protection District: Two vacancies.
Community service and conservation districts
– Anderson Springs Community Services District: Three full terms, two two-year unexpired terms.
– Butler-Keys Community Services District: Two vacancies.
– Scotts Valley Water Conservation District: Division I – One vacancy, two-year unexpired term; Division II – one vacancy, full term.
Water districts
– Adams Springs Water District: Three full terms, one two-year unexpired term.
– Buckingham Park Water District: Three full terms, one two-year unexpired term.
– Callayomi County Water District: Three full terms, one two-year unexpired term.
– Clearlake Oaks County Water District: Two full terms, two two-year unexpired terms.
– Cobb Area County Water District: Three full terms, one two-year unexpired term.
– Konocti County Water District: Three full terms, two two-year year unexpired terms.
– Upper Lake County Water District: Two vacancies.
– Villa Blue Estates Water District: Three vacancies, four-year terms; three vacancies, two-year terms.
Official declaration of candidacy forms for eligible candidates desiring to file for the elective offices listed above may be obtained from the Lake County Registrar of Voters office, located in Room 209 on the second floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. The forms can be picked up during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
