CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The fourth annual mystery dinner theatre, “Totally Rad – 80s Prom Gone Bad,” promises to be a night of intrigue, friendly competition and superb acting by a cast of familiar and budding local thespians.
The event is at the Clearlake Senior Community Center, 3245 Bowers Ave., Clearlake, on Saturday, Sept. 21. Guests are asked to arrive between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
Included in the $40 ticket price is dinner by Chatterbox Catering and a variety of desserts by Soroptimist Club members, who are known for their specialty desserts.
A no host bar featuring wines by “R” Vineyards; mystery raffle prizes courtesy of long time member Sally Munger; and prizes for the best dressed “80’s prom couple;” and winner of the “who done it” mystery, are part of the night’s festivities.
The ‘80s themed mystery harkens back to the last year of high school at Mayhem High. Students are battling over grades, popularity, affections, class rankings and, the all-consuming grand finale – the prom – where two envied students will be crowned “King and Queen.” As the night unfolds, royalty will be rewarded and one innocent life will be claimed.
