Michael Lewis Bertucci
August 1936 — October 2023

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — I am heartbroken to announce the death of my father, Michael Lewis Bertucci.

He passed away peacefully at the age of 87.

Michael was a foreman at Rancho San Miguel. He loved training horses, fishing, gardening and cracking jokes whenever possible.

He leaves behind his wife, Lauretta Adele Bertucci; daughters, Bobbett Elder and Renee Giannini; grandchildren, Tonya Guerrero and Jason Giannini; great-grandchild, Lidia McConlogue; and great-great grandchildren, Lieghana, Jayliegh, Wyatt, David and Michael.

He will be deeply missed by friends and family. We love you papa.

Maggi is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joe Magliocco; children, Gia Magliocco-West and Joe Magliocco; and grandchildren, Grace Magliocco and Jacob Thomsen.

Maggi worked for the Lake County Health Department and was a Farmers Insurance agent for 15-plus years.

She was a pillar of the community, involved with local community events, St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kelseyville, a school board member for both Upper Lake High School and Elementary School and a booster.

Maggi loved to spend time with her family, do puzzles and read.

She touched many hearts and she will be dearly missed.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Our dearest Nana, Rose Mary Vierra, passed away on Sept. 19, 2023, at 108 years old, reuniting with her late husband, Frank.

As the matriarch of a five-generation family, Rose had two daughters, Bobbie and Denise; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was an extrovert and thrived in the company of family and friends.

She loved crosswords and jigsaws, model trains, bowling, golf, travel, all things sweet and Elvis.

Memorial Mass will be held for her at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at St. Peter’s Church, 4085 Main St., Kelseyville, followed by a celebration of life.

Bonnie Jean Winn
Nov. 13, 1951 to Aug. 13, 2023

CLEARLAKE, Calif. — Bonnie Jean Winn, a loving mother and devoted follower of Jesus, passed away peacefully on Aug. 13, 2023.

Born in Georgia on Nov. 13, 1951, Bonnie transitioned to California, where she cherished most of her days, especially her recent years in the scenic embrace of Clearlake.

Bonnie's life was a profound reflection of her unyielding love for her family and her unwavering faith in Jesus.

A dedicated mother of three, Bonnie's care and affection were paramount to her children.

She is survived by her son, Jarred Winn, and daughter, Lorene Hayes, while reuniting in eternal rest with her late daughter, Serena Markovich.

Beyond the confines of family, Bonnie's nurturing spirit stretched further. A highlight of her compassionate nature was her selfless decision to adopt and care for Mayor John Campbell during his twilight years. This act of kindness, alongside her boundless love for friends, family, and faith, engraved her memory into the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

In honor of Bonnie Jean Winn, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 1 p.m., at First Assembly of God, located at 4472 Snook Ave. in Clearlake. Everyone is warmly invited to attend and commemorate the luminous life she led.

Bonnie's existence shone as a beacon of love, care and unwavering faith. While her physical presence will be profoundly missed, her spirit continues to resonate, touching countless lives and leaving an indelible mark of love.

Sofia Ramona Margarita De Witt
May 4, 1956 – Sept. 19, 2023

Sofia was born in Durango, Colorado, to John and Dolores Archuleta.

She moved to Lake County, California, with her family when she was a girl.

While attending high school, she met her husband, Robert De Witt, and they were happily married for 47 years.

Sofia is survived by her husband, Robert Sr.; son, Robert Jr.; sisters, Lucy and Bernadette; and many grandchildren.

She will be missed but never forgotten.

Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m.

Fred DelValle began his journey home to the Ancestors on Sept. 17, 2023.

He was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Sacramento, California, to Joseph DelValle and Elizabeth (Homes) DelValle.

Fred passed away in his hometown of Sacramento. He was an enrolled tribal member of the Big Valley Rancheria in Lakeport, California, and a proud member of the Pomo Tribe.

Fred was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Joseph, Leonard and Frank DelValle; sisters, Delores Rivas, Patricia DelValle and Mary Billy.

He is survived by his sister, Carmen Crabtree; sons, Joshua and Anthony DelValle; daughter, Tosha DelValle; daughter-in-law, Vianey; grandchildren, Veronica, Leonard Jr., Tommy, Natalia, Tristan, Trinity and Maggiel as well as many nieces and nephews.

Fred was a proud and dedicated Sun Dancer with the Lakota (Sioux) Tribe in South Dakota where many bands came together. Fred proudly participated in and poured water while leading multiple sweat lodges around California as well as danced many round houses including the three day Bear Dance Colusa, California, where he proudly danced for Kamil which was passed down to him by the highly respected and honored “Auntie Barb”!

He had a great passion for holding prayer circles to support anyone who was suffering especially including those who suffer addiction.

Fred highly enjoyed serving his Native community whenever and wherever he was needed. Fred touched many people with his passion for helping people and educating everyone he could the Native culture and ways. He would never hesitate to open his home to anyone in need, welcoming them with open arms. He was a father figure, mentor, friend and inspiration to many.

Fred was very proud of his Pomo heritage and enjoyed sharing his stories with the people around him.

He loved waking up early in the morning, waking everyone with his personal alarm songs as he stomped his feet with joy. He had a unique sense of humor with such a great contagious smile that shined so bright and a laugh that would always make others laugh around him.

He enjoyed fishing, crafting, writing and watching Western movies. He had such a deep passion for and loved listening to oldies but goodies. He loved his family dearly and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.

Fred will be deeply missed and we will forever commemorate his legacy.
