LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – On Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, Barbara Helen Miller passed away at the age of 87.

She is the loving mother of Charlie (Jean), John (Karen), and Wendy (Chris); grandmother of Brandon and James; and is also survived by her brother, Jack.

Barbara was born on June 27, 1932, in San Diego, California, to John and Winifred Sweeney.

As a Lake County resident since 1974, she was heavily involved in the community. Barbara volunteered at the Red Cross, as well as being an active member of the following organizations: Lakeport Women’s Civic Club, Konocti Lioness Club, Angelites (singing/dancing group) and the Red Hat Society.

Barbara did everything she wanted to do in her life. She enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family. She loved to travel, seeing most of the United States and Europe. Barbara will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 5340 Third St., at 11 a.m.
