CLEAR LAKE STATE PARK – Follow the winter first Saturday activities in the park.

Join a family-oriented, "From the Ground Up," docent-led nature walk at 8:30 a.m., Nov. 7. Meet your guide at the visitor center ramp. See the many changes that take place in the park after the first fall rain.

Docent leader Susie, a volunteer zookeeper at the LA Zoo for over 10 years, is now a volunteer at Safari West. She also leads hikes for BLM to see the migratory bald eagles in Jan/Feb.

As a wildlife rehabilitator, she has a special interest in working with bats. Being a credentialed teacher, she is the right person to lead a great family-oriented walk in Clear Lake State Park.

After your walk, visit the visitor center museum and gift shop. Public visiting hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The park is located at 5300 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville.
