A FEW SIMPLE RULES

• These rules are in place to maintain order and a safe sense of peace on our forums. We want you to have the best possible interaction with other users, without being distracted by disturbances and other problems.
  
  General Forum Rules
  
  • Spamming (SPAM = S tupid/ P ointless/ A nnoying M essage (s) ) is prohibited. Spamming is constituted by any of three things: Excessive short and/or unncessary posting, advertising in the improper locations/boards/PM system, and having more than one forum account. Advertising on any unrelated thread is also not allowed; do not create more than one ad thread even in the proper location while the other is still usable/recent.
  • Spamming via private message system is strictly disallowed as it could be considered an invasion of privacy and theft of message space. If you recieve any private messages which may seem to be spam, please report it to a moderator or admin.
  • Any content that is interpreted as obscene, suggestive, adult-related (without explicit warnings in thread title and post, especially in improper board), or pornographic is strictly forbidden. Any content of this nature will be deleted or closed to replies.
  • Keep threads on-topic. Do not diverge topics from the one at hand. If necessary, the thread will be split.
  • Flaming (directly insulting or offending another member) will result in warnings, and is NOT appreciated by the other members.
  • Posts that request pictures of or for models, or people to pose or be used for adult-related purposes are not allowed.
  • Fraudulent accounts (multiple or dummy accounts) are not allowed.
  • Please use appropriate language when posting as young members are using the forum along with older members.
  • Keep posts at a reasonable length and put them in the proper boards.
  • If you have a complaint, please contact a moderator or admin via email - do not post publically.
    
    Please note that our goal is to be diplomatic and flexible. We do not allow public complaints for the betterment and peace of the community. We always do our job with YOU - the community - in mind. We will never allow no room for discussion unless its completely ridiculous to do so. Your opinion can always be shared without discrimination against you.
  • Do not post degrading remarks. This can get you banned.
  • Moderator/Administrator word is ultimately final but in most/all scenarios, the situation is allowed to be discussed publically or by PM system; whichever the staff sees fit.
  • You cannot sell or share your forum account. If you wish to change your username, please contact an admin.
  
  SIGNATURES
  
  • Signatures are set up in your profile and are optional.
  • Signatures should be no longer than three lines and the font sizes should not be distracting from the content (under font size 3).
  • You cannot have links to explicit, adult-related, pornographic, illegal, or obscene content in your signature.
  • Staff reserves the right to remove your signature without warning.
  
  STAFF RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  
  • Staff reserves the right to delete any threads or posts at anytime and for any formal and legitimate reason.
  • We hold the privelidge to change, suspend, close, ban, or delete your account/ban your IP address with proper reason.
  • Lake County News staff are not responsible for the content of any external website unless personally or corporately owned and/or managed by that staff member.
  • We reserve the right to change these terms/rules at any time without notification.
