Caltrans plans major roadwork through Sept. 17

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work at Foothill Drive on Monday, Sept. 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Core drilling at Morrison Creek Bridge will begin on Monday, Sept. 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road to Hofacker Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Core drilling at Robinson Creek Bridge will begin on Friday, September 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 25-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Drilling work at the Cobb Village Shopping Center will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Grinding and paving work from Old State Highway to Mill Street, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Pavement marker replacement from Mill Street, Point Arena to South Mendocino City Vista Point will begin on Monday, Sept. 14. Moving traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from north of Biaggi Road to Kinney Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement marker replacement work from Brewery Gulch Vista Place to Boice Lane will continue. A moving closure will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving work from Ocean View Drive to Pudding Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving work at De Haven Creek Road will begin Tuesday, September 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement marker replacement work from Hardy Creek to Route 271 will continue. A moving closure will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Walnut Street to Hazel will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Paving work from Holly Street to Monica Lane will continue. Lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 101

– Paving work from Geysers Road to East Side Road will continue. Lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Paving work from Russian River Road to La Franchi Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridgework at the McNab Bridge will begin Thursday, September 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridgework at Robinson Creek Bridge and Northbound on-ramp to 101 will continue. Northbound lane controls and full closure of the northbound on-ramp to Route 101 will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays and use alternate routes.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.

Highway 128

– Bridge work at Flynn Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Indian Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Maple Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Beebe Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 162

– Grinding and paving work at Bloody Run Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Sept. 14. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 pm. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Wooldridge Ranch Road to Buckman Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 271

– Striping operation from Reynolds State Park Drive to Route 101, Piercy will begin Monday, Sept. 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
