County officials close temporary evacuation point at Kelseyville High

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – As the LNU Lightning Complex mandatory evacuations are lifted, county officials reported that the temporary evacuation point at the Kelseyville High School parking lot is being closed.

If you live in an area under mandatory evacuation orders and are in need of shelter, please call 707-262-4423 to be screened and connected with sheltering resources.

The county said it is prepared to reopen the temporary evacuation point if additional evacuations are announced.

The Lake County Department of Social Services, the Lake County Health Services Department and the American Red Cross partnered to provide the following sheltering services:

– 63 vehicles passed through the temporary evacuation point;
– 67 evacuees were screened for shelter placement;
– 47 evacuees remain in American Red Cross supported shelter locations;
Multiple evacuees visited the temporary evacuation point for shelter information.

Lake County Health Services continues to provide shelter assistance to those individuals requiring COVID-19 isolation or quarantine.
