Caltrans plans major roadwork through Sept. 3

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Le Trianon Resort beginning Monday, Aug. 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Catholic Church Road beginning Monday, August 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road to Hofacker Lane will begin Tuesday, September 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Sunrise Vista Resort on Monday and Tuesday, August 31 and September 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drilling work will occur at the Cobb Village Shopping Center beginning Monday, Aug. 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Golf Road to Road E – Road 110 on Thursday, Sept. 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Grinding and paving work from Old State Highway to Mill Street, Point Arena will begin Friday, Aug. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Old Coast Highway to Glennen Road beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Mill Street, Point Arena to Brewery Gulch Vista Point will begin Friday, Aug. 28. Moving lane controls will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Brewery Gulch Vista Point to Boice Lane will begin Sunday, Aug. 30. Moving lane controls will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Digouts, paving, and electrical upgrades to signals and lighting will occur from Noyo River Bridge to Pudding Creek Bridge beginning Monday, Aug. 31. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail and pavement work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Road 8136 to State Route 271 will continue. Moving lane controls will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Paving work from Holly Street to Monica Lane will continue. Lane controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Grinding and paving work at Access Road will begin Tuesday, Sept. 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Paving work from Geysers Road to East Side Road will continue. Lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Paving work from Russian River Road to La Franchi Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Robinson Creek Bridge and Northbound on-ramp to 101 will continue. Northbound lane controls and full closure of the northbound on-ramp to Route 101 will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays and use alternate routes.

– Emergency road work on the northbound off-ramp at State Street will continue. Full closure of the northbound off-ramp will be in effect. Motorists should take alternate routes.

– Bridge work at Masonite Road Overcrossing will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Spyrock Road to Bell Springs & Road 324 on Friday, August 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Bridge work at Flynn Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Indian Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Maple Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Beebe Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Wooldridge Ranch Road to Buckman Drive beginning Friday, Aug. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
