Cobb Area Council launches marketing campaign

COBB, Calif. – The Cobb Area Council has awarded $25,000 to fund a marketing campaign to draw visitors to the Cobb area to support the local economy.

The marketing collaborative will work through the economic development sub-committee, chaired by Jessica Pyska, and will include business owners, artists and community members who will develop and steer an inclusive campaign to benefit and elevate all of the Cobb area community.

A team of local experts to include project manager Abby Leutholdt of Abby Leu Presents, website and logo designer Kim Lewis of KL Designs and photographer Karen Pavone of InkFarm Creative will build a marketing strategy by developing a website, photography assets, social media campaigns, marketing research and outreach to be coordinated with local business owners, artists and events.

“It is exciting to see such a talented team has signed on to turn this project into a reality. I have great confidence in their skills and experience,” said Cathy McCarthy, the newly installed Cobb Area Council chair.

This collaborative will be funded from a $200,000 grant that Cobb Area Council received from the Federal Homeloan Bank of San Francisco in September 2019 for the economic development of the Cobb area following the Valley fire.

Additional funds from the grant are in the process of being awarded as low-interest loans to local small business owners and will be announced soon.
