Caltrans plans major roadwork through Sept. 26

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Road work from Blue Lakes Road to Colusa County Line will begin Thursday, Sept. 19, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists can anticipate minor delays.

– Striping operation from Mid Lake Road to Van Sleeper Road will begin Thursday, Sept. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Ogden Road to Bruner Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Striping operation from Napa County Line/Route 53 to Morgan Valley Road will begin Thursday, Sept. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping Operation from Western Mine Road to Bar X Ranch will begin on Sunday, Sept. 22. One-way traffic control from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Core drilling from Spruce Grove Road South to Hofacker Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Private Drive Southeast to Route 20 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping and paving operation from Route 52 North Lower Lake to Robinson Rancheria Road will begin Thursday, Sept. 19, Sunday through Thursday nights. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving operation on the 11th Street Undercrossing on ramp will continue from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 53

– Striping operation from Route 29 to Davis Street will begin Thursday, Sept. 19, Sunday through Thursday nights. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 175

– Utility and electrical work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for tree work from Haven Neck Drive to Old Stageroad Drive on Thursday, Sept. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work south of Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Alder Creek Beach to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal from Mallo Pass Creek to Elk Creek will begin Monday, Sept. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal from North Limits Elk to 1.5 miles north of North Limits Elk will begin Monday, Sept. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal from Navarro Bluff Road to one mile south of Navarro Bluff Road will begin Monday, Sept. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Navarro Bluff Road to Junction 128 East will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Pacific Reefs Road to Salmon Creek will continue One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Caspar Lake Road to Caspar Vista Point will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work on Walnut Street on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for tree work from Odom Lane to Pacific Avenue South beginning Monday, Sept. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 1

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Striping operation from Road 350-Russian River Overhead 10-182 Bridge beginning Thursday, Sept. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Grinding operation from Two Road Lookout to Willits Cemetery Road will begin Friday, Sept. 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Broaddus Creek to Broaddus Railroad Crossing will begin Monday, Sept. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Fort Bragg/Main Street/Redwood 101 Undercrossing to Cold Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Guardrail, grinding, and paving work from Ramsey Road to Rattlesnake Summit will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Cleanup work on the Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Bridge work from Stanley creek Road Undercrossing to South Fork Eel River Bridge 10-93 will begin Monday, Sept. 23, from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 128

– Highway construction from Route 1 to East Limits Philo will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work will occur at the Highway Maintenance Station, Mountain View Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Electrical work on South Eel River Bridge will occur on Friday, Sept. 20. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Electrical work on Rodeo Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, Sept. 20. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
