Middletown Luncheon Club hosts transportation discussion Sept. 18

MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – The Middletown Luncheon Club will host a speaker on transportation services when it meets on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

The group will meet at noon at the Middletown Senior Center, 21256 Washington St. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m.

At the meeting, Lake Links Mobility Programs Manager Karl E. Parker will give a presentation about transportation services available through Lake Transit Authority and Lake Links.

He will showcase the services designed to assist the most vulnerable among our community – the elderly, the disabled, low-income persons and veterans.

Whether or not you currently need assistance with transportation, this talk will increase your awareness of the challenges faced by many in our community and the vital services that are provided to help meet those challenges.

For only $5 per person, enjoy a meal of spaghetti, green salad and fruit salad. You may also just come and listen to the speaker for free. Everyone is welcome.
