Caltrans plans major roadwork through Sept. 19

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Drainage work from Ogden Road to Bruner Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Core drilling from Spruce Grove Road South to Hofacker Lane will begin Monday, Sept. 16. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Route 175 Southeast to Route 20 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Paving operation on Soda Bay Road will begin Sunday, Sept. 15. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving operation on the 11th Street Undercrossing on ramp will continue from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Utility and electrical work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Drainage work south of Iverson Avenue, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Alder Creek Beach to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Navarro Bluff Road to Junction 128 East will begin Friday, Sept. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Pacific Reefs Road to Salmon Creek will continue One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work from Caspar Lake Road to Caspar Vista Point will begin Thursday, Sept. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work at James Creek on Wednesday, Sept. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Fort Bragg/Main Street/Redwood 101 Undercrossing to Cold Creek Bridge beginning Thursday, Sept. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from Hollands Lane/Road 301E to Walker Road beginning Monday, Sept. 16. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Guardrail work and paving work from Ramsey Road to Rattlesnake Summit will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Cleanup work on the Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Highway construction from Route 1 to East Limits Philo will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work will occur at the Highway Maintenance Station, Mountain View Road beginning Friday, September 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Slide removal Anderson Creek Bridge to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
