CLEAR LAKE STATE PARK – The park is host to birds all year long, not all with beautiful plumage, but all with unique voices. At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4, in the cool of the auditorium, enjoy the interactive slide presentation, “Joy of Birding II.” Experience a visual and audible encounter with some of our over 300 bird species in Lake County. Some species stay with us all year and others pass through during migration. Audience participation adds to the fun. New items continue to arrive in the gift shop. find the aluminum water flask, the hooded pullover, the 16-ounce stainless steel travel mug or Carabiner sunscreen you have been looking for. Check out the books and guides to help identify wildlife and flowers. There is no entrance fee to the park for attending scheduled programs, walks or visiting the museum. The visitor center, including the gift shop, will open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer.
