LAKEPORT – Kelseyville residents Ron and Eileen Martin were honored Sunday, June 14, for their 15 years of service by vestry and appreciative parishioners at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lakeport.

A beautiful floral bouquet for the Martins from the vestry decorated the church for Holy Communion service, after which a potluck lunch and decorative carrot cake were provided.

The couple received certificates for vestry service, religious key chains, book marks and pottery cross signed by grateful parishioners.

Eileen’s service at St. John’s includes alter guild, vestry, thrift store volunteer, prayer shawl ministry, lector and Eucharistic minister.

Ron, always the “go to guy,” worked as senior warden, vestry member, worship leader, Eucharistic minister, lector, and thrift store volunteer.

He currently serves as Kelseyville Fire Department chaplain.
